We are also committed to long term relationships with our customers backed up with excellent after sales service.
Our Story
Sonic Audio Visual arose out of the passion of Richard Edwards’ for excellence in sound solutions. Originally based out of MARS Music Cape Town we have a 14 year history of providing solutions to numerous venues and businesses around the Western Cape. In 2019 the business grew to the point that it made sense to create a dedicated division for the installation business, hence Sonic Audio Visual was created. With full time dedicated staff and partnerships with expert consultants we are able to offer unparalleled support to our customers.
MEET THE TEAM
Richard Edwards
Founder & CEO
Richard has 25 years experience in the South African music industry. A qualified doctor he played in bands during medical school and left medicine to start Mars Music in 2005, along with friend and band mate Mike Vaughan. His passion for the technical side of creating music has lead him to be a successful mix engineer and head up the installation side of the business. He and Mike expanded the business with further retail stores, distribution company and an events company.
Emile Hendricks
Installation Team
Emile has many years of experience in live sound and installation of sound and multimedia systems. He is committed to providing excellent service and after-sales support to all our customers
Mitchell Doye
Installation Team
Mitchell completed a three year diploma in Audio Technology followed by three years of experience working as a sound engineer before joining the Sonic AV team. He has a passion for anything related to the sound and the technical aspects related to it.
